About 100 Sea to Sea cyclists made a detour to Payson, because of the extremely hot temperatures in Phoenix. The tour was temporarily suspended and the cyclists were driven Friday June 28th morning to our cool mountain town of Payson, Arizona.
While in Payson, this wonderful and generous group offered their time to participate in community service activities for our Brush with Kindness program.
Sea to Sea cyclists are riding across country to:
To raise awareness and money to fight poverty around the world.
To motivate people to become involved in working with the poor.
To celebrate and highlight the history and common work of the partnering agencies.
Payson Habitat was blessed, along with our homeowners, David & Kathy Townsley, who’s home was given a fresh coat of paint. In about 100 degree heat, the energetic group, ranging from 20+ year olds to senior citizens jumped right in and began transforming the Townsley’s home.
All of us at PAHH would like to extend a huge thank you to every rider that selflessly joined in to help us, help one of our neighbors.
